Unmask Your False Beliefs With Pierre Grimes

While there are two parts to the phrase "know thyself", one being the part given to us as our cosmic heritage, and one part that needs to be added for our cosmic destiny, even the cosmic part that has already been given to us in this lifetime has acquired false beliefs that prevent us from the attainment of higher knowledge and self-development. These false beliefs do not manifest consciously as acknowledged beliefs, but manifest themselves subtly into larger irrational behavior-themes that are emotionally charged. In the video lecture below, Pierre Grimes demonstrates on the blackboard an example of how some of our false ideas acquired in childhood become our false ideas of adulthood. In many cases we are simply executing our pre-programmed responses based upon some old codes unconsciously installed into us years ago.

The book Philosophical Midwifery by Pierre Grimes is geared to providing a clinical proof of his theory, and is also a great read for those wanting a philosophical understanding of human behavior instead of the nuanced terms and archetypes of various psychological disciplines. Grimes’ little book below, Unblocking: Removing Blocks to Understanding, is perhaps a more practical tool for the layman to journal and arrange observations that uncover past experiences, and to make make rational conclusions about them. While getting to the root of our deficiencies may not immediately change our lives, but recognition of our “lower self” is crucial in the great work towards development of our “higher Self”.
